So in recent times I have really gotten bad with letting the healthy eating habits of this house go down the drain. I will admit it is 97% my fault. I do the grocery shopping and I used to just say no when they wanted junk. My husband would always bring junky treats home from time to time so saying no was so easy because I knew they would still get a sweet treat of some kind.
Like I said though I have slipped. I have been eating a lot of sugar and carbs and what happens when you do that? You crave more and more and more. So it really does come down to it’s on me.
Now I am ready to get back at it. I do have a bit of motivation. A friend is getting married in April and her wedding/reception is a 20’s style theme. So many are complaining about it but let me say, I am beyond excited. It is one of my favorite time periods. I really do love it. Actually I have a few time periods I love but this is one of my favorites. I wouldn’t care if no one else dressed up, it is a bit of motivation for me right now to kick this habit I have let consume our household!
So between the holidays, the emotional eating, the thanks for the treats honey, and my suppling not so great treats for the family; it is time to kick this habit to the curb. We are saying goodbye to the old habits and hello to the new!
